Мелодії України - Там Де Груша Серед Поля

Evening falls upon the rye
Crickets chirping in the grass
Words between us are not needed
Only eyes begin to speak
The pear tree gives us its blessing
White blossoms like a veil
The quail calls out to greet us
And our lips begin to touch
Hold me closer now, my love
Just like that very first time
My heart is beating ever louder
The world sings only for us
There, where the pear stands in the field
Blooming white in the spring
There fate once smiled upon me
And gave you to be mine
Filled with golden light
We weave garlands together
As if we’re alone in the world
The wheat ears nod to us
The pear tree still remembers
Our names carved in its bark
How we used to run here barefoot
Like foals out in the wind
Hold me closer now, my love
Just like that very first time
My heart is beating ever louder
The world sings only for us
There, where the pear stands in the field
Blooming white in the spring
There fate once smiled upon me
And gave you to be mine
Let the years go rolling by
Let the pear and love bloom on
Our children with their barefoot steps
Will run back to it again
Hold me closer now, my love
Just like that very first time
My heart is beating ever louder
The world sings only for us
There, where the pear stands in the field
Blooming white in the spring
There fate once smiled upon me
And gave you to be mine
Evening falls upon the rye
Pear tree in the field
Hold me close
